BactoReal® Kit Staphylococcus aureus is a real-time PCR assay for detection of S. aureus DNA. This test was developed and validated for the ABI PRISM® 7500 (Fast) instrument (Life Technologies), LightCycler® 480 (Roche) and Mx3005P® (Agilent), but is also suitable for other real-time PCR instruments. This test allows the rapid and sensitive detection of DNA of S. aureus from various sample materials such as swabs, biopsies and milk (e.g. with the QIAamp DNA Mini Kit extraction methods).
